Latitude is stretched about 2× so the line is readable. The real route is roughly seven times wider than it is tall.

  • Day 32

A closed bridge made the mapped detour 17 miles longer, so Naomi took LA-112 and LA-113 and finished on 76 miles instead of 100.

  • Days 34 to 36

The West Pearl River bridge is closed. The line now runs north of Lake Pontchartrain instead of through New Orleans.

Every dollar given on GoFundMe goes to My Sister’s House and counts toward this total. GoFundMe is a personal fundraiser, so those gifts pass through Naomi and are not tax-deductible. A gift made directly to Tried By Fire also goes to My Sister’s House, and the organization can give you a receipt. It will not show on this meter.

Support the ride

The cost of the ride itself, from the support RV to fuel and campsites, is paid separately, so every GoFundMe dollar can go to My Sister’s House. If you would rather help with those costs, these go straight to Naomi and Tim.

My Sister’s House

My Sister’s House is a home in New Bern, North Carolina, for eight women leaving incarceration. Staff are on site around the clock. Each resident follows her own reentry plan, which connects her to services and often includes reunification with her children. There is no religious requirement. It is run by Tried By Fire.
